You can find cheaper/inferior brake adapters for fitting 280mm brakes onto the MK1, but the design of those only have half the width of securing thread as the ones in this auction. We used to manufacture and sell these, but due to numerous thread failure's and adapter's working loose, we decided withdraw them from our portfolio a couple of years back from a safety standpoint.

So you have to ask yourself, do you want to cut corners when it comes to your modified vehicle???
